My first book, Voice of the Ancients, Right of Way will be coming out next week...
To get your copy, I need your order, your address and your payment...!
The books are $46 including shipping in USA. When you call with your order 866-972-9701 or place your order online, I will sign it and ship to you Priority Mail... I need to know how many to order, then, I will address the shipping envelopes and when I get them from Friesen Press, I will pop them in the mail to you!
If you are interested in selling them, you order them from me. There is a 25 minimum order and they will be shipped directly to you!
Later you will be able to order them from Amazon and the other big book companies!!
Since this is the first time, please be patient...!
Alaska Litho is working on a special edition as well. When it is available, I'll let you know!
The next book Against All Odds will be out soon, and I am working on the fifth one, Slippery When Wet. I hope everyone enjoys reading these as much as I have had writing them!
P.S... You Shingledecker fans should know that there are only about 125 signed regular prints left to sell of Right of Way... they are $500 each. Some are signed twice... in the margin and on the image.... We did that so we could put the mat over the image. There are about 180 Artist Proofs at $1200. It was an edition of 5000 but they weren't all printed. At least he signed 250 artist proofs.. Just so you know! I have a "Friendly time payment plan" if you need it. It is the most popular large print!

When men and women came to this continent forty thousand years ago, an ice sheet covered most of North America. The climate was very different. There was an abundance of food. Dear Folks,
Bruce Shingledecker has been gone four years now and no new originals have emerged...collecting the originals now might not be easy, they are really valuable, however the prints are a great alternative!
The first image ever done, and the one that made him famous, was The Sky is Falling. Bruce was so happy and excited when we got it! He signed, numbered it, and put the title in the margin....Well, that didn't last long...He got through the Artist Proofs and about 250 of the regular prints and then quit putting the title in. His first signatures were big and loopy, that changed too...They got longer and straighter.
I numbered all the rest of the editions! There were 21 all together. When we started framing the prints, we cut the mat to fit over the image, it looked more like a painting and didn't take up as much space on the walls. Well, I had Bruce re-sign them, of course he didn't like that at all, however that makes lots of them double signed!! If you have any of those, you can add another $200 to the value of your print! Add $400 if it has the title!!
There is more... It was hard work signing the large prints, and it took up a lot of clean space, they were delicate. Bruce was living in Gustavus, coming to town less and less. He signed all the Against All Odds, however there are just a few Mother and Child signed.
The large prints were really hard to handle, so we don't have a lot of Right of Way, Before the Storm or Way Past Midnight. which is a shame because they are realllllly popular.
We let the sales receipt be the Certificate of Authenticity, if you have those, make sure you keep them...If you'd like to know the current value, check Bruces' site www.bruceshingledecker.com I charge $50 for print appraisals, $250 for paintings if you need documentation. That info is also good for posterity!
There is a secondary market for Bruces' work, I charge 40% and a 5% listing fee.
For example:
- • 17 #8AP's for $30,000 mostly framed...it would finish the collection if we could find #8AP of the large prints...
• #13AP and #98AP of "The Sky is Falling" $3,000 each
• # 409 of "The Sky is Falling" it has yellowed a bit but it has the title in the margin for $900
• #290 of "The Sky is Falling" for $800 it has a big loopy signature in the margin....
